As requested by the US Army Corps of Engineers, wave direction is separated into 9 period bands based on the estimated wave frequency spectra. Angles reported in the directional data are true compass headings from which the waves are traveling at the location of the measuring instrument. The data files have 11 columns in the following format.
Column | Description |
---|---|
1 | Date UTC (YYYYMMDDHHMM) |
2 | Peak Direction (deg) |
3 | 22+ sec. mean direction (deg) |
4 | 18-22 sec. mean direction (deg) |
5 | 16-18 sec. mean direction (deg) |
6 | 14-16 sec. mean direction (deg) |
7 | 12-14 sec. mean direction (deg) |
8 | 10-12 sec. mean direction (deg) |
9 | 8-10 sec. mean direction (deg) |
10 | 6-8 sec. mean direction (deg) |
11 | 2-6 sec. mean direction (deg) |
