c-             method -    partitioning approach - P2009, H2001, CDIPL
c-             per -       plots axes, per=0 for freq, per=1 for period; default = 1
c-             qc_off -    flag value (0/1) to ignore wave QC. Default = 0, i.e. QC on
c-             sea -       flag value (0/1) to limit periods/freqs to seas (8s and under)
c-             swl -       flag value (0/1) to limit periods/freqs to swell (8s and over)
c-             units -     'english' for feet, otherwise height in meters
